The Concept
Founded on a Vision
Yarrow is neighborhood founded on a vision: Al Bean’s vision of a community strong in recreation, education, culture, and the arts. This vision is partly funded by an unusual arrangement: a portion of the proceeds from Yarrow lots sold by the Bean Foundation Inc. are reinvested into current and future social and economic initiatives in Jefferson County and Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs.

Since the inception of the Bean Foundation Inc. in 1981, property has been donated for parks, a splash pad, sports fields, an aquatic center, a new middle school, and Central Oregon Community College campus. Additionally, funds are used to support community initiatives, which improve the quality of life for children, families, and young adults who live in Jefferson County.
